The series was created for picture books and posters. Record of a Day in Berlin As the entire town was shrouded in mysterious smoke, I came across the legendary chimney sweep in his splendid, classic uniform, silently working on the rooftops. The people in the neighborhood, embracing him as part of their daily lives amidst the smoky atmosphere, left a strong impression on me. Although chimneys are gradually disappearing from the city, I created this work as an homage to the chimney sweep—a guardian of romantic nostalgia.
